In order to further implement the strategy of "strengthening the city by industry", promote the sound and rapid development of the mold industry, promote the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure of Dongguan City and enhance the overall innovation ability of the industry, the author believes that the development of Dongguan Mould City can be optimized and promoted from the following aspects.

1. attach great importance to ideology. Mold is the foundation of manufacturing and processing industry. In order to improve the product grade, mold plays a bottleneck role.

The government needs to plan well. Macro-control, policy guidance, give full play to the agglomeration effect of the mold industry, reasonable guidance, good planning, hierarchical, sub-category positioning, guide large, medium and small mold enterprises to form their own characteristics, division of labor and cooperation, to avoid vicious competition.

3. Improve the technical level. Mold enterprises are labor-intensive enterprises, we should strive to improve the technical level of enterprises, improve product grade and quality, large enterprises should set up research and development centers, small and medium-sized enterprises can realize technology sharing through public technology service platform.

4. Strengthen the management of mold enterprises. At present, many domestic mold enterprises are well managed, but they must continue to innovate management methods and means to realize the standardized management of modern enterprises as soon as possible.

5. Strengthen the contact and cooperation of mold enterprises in the industry.

At present, the strength of each mold enterprise is currently limited, and it is necessary to set up an exchange and cooperation platform for each mold enterprise to complement each other's advantages, exchange what is needed, and avoid vicious competition. Under conditional circumstances, several enterprises unite to integrate existing resources, concentrate advantages, division of labor and cooperation, and give full play to the strengths and energy of each enterprise. In foreign countries, some small and medium-sized mold enterprises in Europe, South Korea, and Taiwan have also achieved joint efforts, and their energy is far greater than the sum of the same number of individual enterprises.

6. Strengthen exchanges and cooperation between industries.

The mold industry association and the automobile industry association strengthen cooperation to build a bridge between automobile molds and automobile manufacturers. Automobile mold enterprises can more and more timely understand and master the standards and requirements of automobile manufacturers and various demand information, do a good job in product and technology positioning, and gradually establish a long-term and stable strategic partnership with automobile manufacturers. 7. Strengthen the contact and cooperation with universities, scientific research units and related material suppliers.
